The Dakar Rally is known as the world’s toughest race — a long-distance, off-road rally-raid across extreme desert terrain. Competitors race in cars, bikes, and trucks over sandy dunes, rocks, mountains, and dry riverbeds. Simply finishing the race is an enormous achievement.

For the second time, TUDOR is the official timekeeper of the race.

The 2026 edition of the race–the sixth time in Saudi Arabia– kicks off on January 3 and runs until the 17th. Competitors will cover roughly 8,000 kilometers across the country, starting and finishing in Yanbu. This isn’t a typical race with stands full of spectators, some stages take place hundreds of miles from any sort of civilization. Helicopters and media crews are part of the traveling convoy following the race, and they broadcast the action for all to see.

To watch the race on TV, check for your local broadcaster here. You can also follow along via the official Dakar Rally website and YouTube channel

Good luck to all competitors as they set out on the toughest race in motorsports!
