Inside the TUDOR-Supported Chasing Cancellara Ride
This ride is not for the faint of heart.
The TUDOR Pro Cycling Team was built from the ground up, and it’s in this spirit that TUDOR supports a wider variety of cycling initiatives in addition to the professional team. Chasing Cancellara is one of them. The idea behind Chasing Cancellara is simple: allow beginners all the way to semi-pro riders the opportunity to ride with TUDOR ambassador Fabian Cancellara on some of Europe’s most exciting routes. Last year, in Cancellara’s native Switzerland, the route took a crop of determined riders from the cultural capital of Zurich through the Swiss Alps via the Grimsel Pass to Zermatt, home of the famed Matterhorn mountain. The route covered 275 kilometers and gained close to 6000 vertical meters of elevation. It was certainly not for the faint of heart.
Two riders brilliantly captured what it was like to complete one of the most grueling—but rewarding—rides as they try to keep up with two-time Olympic Gold Medal winner and TUDOR ambassador Fabian Cancellara. Watch their videos below to gain a unique perspective on Chasing Cancellara: Zurich to Zermatt.
