TUDOR IS NOW THE OFFICIAL TIMEKEEPER OF THE TOUR OF FLANDERS
Through a new partnership with Flanders Classics, TUDOR is the official timekeeper of the Belgian organizer’s spring classics.
In the culture of competitive cycling, there are certain races that stand out against the rest. The Tour of Flanders has cemented its reputation over more than a century as such an important race that it’s colloquially become simply known as “De Ronde”. Locals call it Vlaanderens Mooiste. The race is organized by Flanders Classics, the parent organization that organizes a total of 6 spring classics for both men and women elite in Belgium like the Gent-Wevelgem or Omloop het Nieuwsblad.
The Tour of Flanders makes up one-fifth of the prestigious Monuments races alongside the Milan–San Remo, Paris–Roubaix, Liège–Bastogne–Liège and the Giro di Lombardia. One of the defining characteristics of the Tour of Flanders is the high frequency of incredibly intense cobbled climbs that riders must contend with. While De Ronde isn’t particularly known for its elevation gain, it’s certainly known for the epic moments during the race where riders are packed in close as they battle for victory over cobbled roads that rattle their very core—the maximum gradient can be as high as 20% on these sections of the race, making it particularly exciting for spectators.
The daring character of the race is exactly why TUDOR has become the official timekeeper. Now, TUDOR has the opportunity to support one more monument race.
TUDOR ambassador Fabian Cancellara has won the Tour of Flanders a total of three times; he will be guiding the TUDOR Pro Cycling Team as they gear up to compete in the 2024 edition of the Tour of Flanders.
