Black Ferns Sevens Emerge Victorious in Hong Kong
TUDOR ambassador Sarah Hirini's #BornToDare spirit was on full display this weekend.
New Zealand’s All Blacks Sevens and Black Ferns Sevens reigned victorious this weekend at the Cathay/HSBC Hong Kong Sevens, one of the most exciting tournaments on the calendar. It’s the second time the duo has scored a double gold this season; the first was the dual gold in Sydney in January. New Zealand now leads both the men’s and women’s rankings globally, after New Zealand women beat Australia to claim fifth straight cup title on HSBC World Rugby Sevens Series 2023 and the men defeated Fiji to win first Cathay/HSBC Hong Kong Sevens title since 2014.
TUDOR ambassador Sarah Hirini lead Black Ferns Sevens to victory, saying “The opportunity to play in Hong Kong, the home of sevens, was amazing. It's always been the biggest event on the men's sevens calendar with some of the greatest games having been played there. The tournament did not disappoint and for us to come away with the win, our fifth this season, is really special.
