In 2015, TUDOR announced its first Manufacture Calibre in its history. A high-performance calibre of excellent precision and proven robustness, it offers a 70-hour power reserve meaning that its wearer can, for example, take off the watch on Friday evening and put it on again on Monday morning without having to wind it. Beating to a frequency of 28,800 beats/hour or 4Hz, the movement is regulated by a variable inertia oscillator with silicon balance spring, held in place by a traversing bridge - a guarantee of its robustness. Furthermore, the movement is certified by the Swiss Official Chronometer Testing Institute (COSC).
This is a variant of the TUDOR Manufacture Calibre developed specifically to equip the Black Bay Bronze model. Slightly larger in diameter and displaying hours, minutes and seconds functions, it bears the reference MT5601, in which “MT” stands for “Manufacture TUDOR”.
With a 70-hour power reserve, a silicon balance spring and Official Swiss Chronometer Testing Institute certification, the Manufacture chronograph Calibre MT5813 that drives the Black Bay Chrono S&G model is a high-performance movement. It was designed in the purest watchmaking tradition, with a column-wheel mechanism and vertical clutch. In keeping with the TUDOR philosophy of quality, it presents extraordinary robustness and reliability, guaranteed by an array of extreme tests applied to all TUDOR products.
