Beckham’s Daring Career Culminates in a Big Win
Being daring eventually pays off.
David Beckham is no stranger to taking daring risks. After playing football in Europe for world-famous Real Madrid he joined the US Soccer League MLS in 2007. That risk paid off with a MLS Cup win in 2011 and 2012 with the dominant LA Galaxy.
Success didn’t come overnight, however. He put in years with the team before leading them to victory.
Then he followed the same path with Inter Miami as a co-owner.
Beckham, along with co-owners Jorge Mas and his brother Jose, debuted their new team, Inter Miami, in the 2020 season. Now, the team is an MLS cup winner, making David Beckham the first person ever to win an MLS cup as both a player and then team owner. David the saw potential in growing the sport stateside when others had doubts, and he made the daring decision to invest his time and resources into doing things differently.
Congratulations on your achievement, Sir David Beckham.
