FOR THE TWELFTH AND LAST STOP ON OUR STYLE FILE ITINERARY, WE HEAD TO LONDON, WHERE FASHION DESIGNER AND TAILORING EXPERT CHARLIE CASELY-HAYFORD HAS A FEW TIPS UP HIS SLEEVE

Casely-Hayford’s favourite addresses in the capital include a secret cocktail bar in the East End, a landmark modernist house in Hampstead, and a pop-up restaurant in King’s Cross.
To sample some of London’s most experimental cocktails, Casely-Hayford suggests heading to this little-known basement bar with a 1960s Eastern European interior (the unmarked door is in between a kebab shop and a newsagent).
1e Great Eastern Street
‘The tranquility of the building allows you to escape the bustle of Soho and Leicester Square’ says Casely-Hayford.
Browse rare books and vinyls, and a superb edit of Japanese brands and experimental European fashion labels, at this Dalston emporium. The store operates on an appointment-only basis, which sometimes means you have the entire place to yourself.
18 Shacklewell Lane
Pop down to Rita’s, a new restaurant set up by the twenty somethings who opened the amazing Brunswick House Café in Vauxhall.
‘This theatre is a platform for the choreographers of tomorrow and one of the best places to see contemporary dance – it never fails to excite,’ says Casely-Hayford.
17 Duke’s Road
Located in an old petrol station, and created by the team behind Bistrotheque, Shrimpy’s restaurant is the perfect way to end an evening.
Goods Way
Casely-Hayford suggests staying at this new hotel in Whitehall. ‘Its incredible spa completely removes you from the stresses of London.’
The new TUDOR Pelagos, waterproof to a depth of 500 metres (1640 feet), is a fusion of technology and innovation. Its sporting character and impeccable reliability will meet the requirements of lovers of the deep and those passionate about the vital marine environment.
Even seasoned travellers welcome the insight of the right sort of local, a gently guiding hand in new territories or a fresh take on the familiar. With this in mind, we’ve put together a series of Style Files, country-specific, cliché-dodging dossiers and in-the-field notes for the contemporary explorer who really knows where they are going.
