Blending modern design with impressive performance, the Heritage Black Bay is the direct descendant of Tudor’s technical success in Greenland in 1954, on the wrists of Royal Navy sailors. 59 years later, the Black Bay is ready to stand as its own legend.
Awarded the Revival prize for the “the best watch to offer a contemporary reinterpretation of an iconic historical model” at the Grand Prix d’Horlogerie de Genève in 2013, the Heritage Black Bay is the stylistic quintessence of almost 60 years of iconic diver’s watches.
Steeped in the mysterious aura of a hidden bay, a long-buried treasure now rising to the surface, the TUDOR Heritage Black Bay is the reinterpretation of a model that left a lasting mark on the history of diving. A perfect embodiment of TUDOR’s vintage spirit.
Inspired by a model that first appeared in 1954, a period that saw the emergence of the first divers’ watches, the TUDOR Heritage Black Bay has a domed dial, unusual burgundy colour bezel and “Snowflake” hands.
Like a treasure emerging from the bottom of the sea, the Heritage Black Bay features lines inspired by the 1954 model: slender, elongated lugs, reworked and resized to produce a contemporary steel case with a diameter of 41 mm and enhanced by a domed crystal. The watch is waterproof to 200 metres (660 feet).
The elegantly domed black dial displays generous luminescent hour markers for perfect visibility. The pink gold of the hands represent a gentle hint of nostalgia, suggesting the characteristic patina of older timepieces.
Equipped with the new folding clasp developed by TUDOR, the Heritage Black Bay model is delivered with a black fabric strap and a steel bracelet, or with a black fabric strap and a second strap in exclusive aged leather: another original touch for an elegant, contemporary watch.
