TUDOR AND DUCATI:
A PASSION FOR PERFORMANCE
The last day of June 2011 marks another significant milestone for TUDOR, the prestigious brand of sport watches. In 2009, TUDOR redefined its identity. On 30 June 2011, TUDOR becomes the Timing Partner of Ducati, the Italian motorcycle manufacturer, reinforcing the watchmaker’s thoroughly modern sporting vocation.
The well-established alliance between TUDOR and motorsport is expanding into the high-speed world of motorcycle racing, where Ducati enjoys well-deserved fame. The prestigious Swiss maker of timepieces for sport has established close ties with the Italian motorcycle firm – a stalwart of the MotoGP World Championship – as its Timing Partner.
This wide-ranging partnership is marked by the launch of a commemorative watch to celebrate the accord with style, adding to the collection already launched at Baselworld 2011 under the evocative name of Fastrider. This new series of chronographs is expressly designed to measure short periods of time – exactly what is needed in high-speed racing.

TUDOR takes us for a spin in the seductive high-speed world of motorcycle racing with its evocatively named new line, Fastrider.
A NEW 42 MM CASE
The sleek, bevelled design of the new 42 mm case gives the Fastrider chronograph a very sporty and technical look.
The date corrector at 9 o’clock is decorated with a black PVD-coated shield, a technical detail that alludes to the world of motorcycles.
THE CHRONOGRAPH PUSHERS
The chronograph pushers, which fit into the middle case through black PVD-coated cylinders, are reminiscent of engine pistons. These direct-action chronograph pushers make it easy to measure short periods of time with precision, a function indispensable to all speed-related disciplines. The bezel is engraved with a tachymetric scale.
THE STRAP
The new TUDOR Fastrider chronograph is available with a satin-finished three-piece link steel bracelet with a polished centre piece, or a leather strap with a folding clasp and a new safety catch, or a black fabric strap featuring three sporty stripes that echo those on the dial. This fabric strap, which is characteristic of the TUDOR brand, is modelled on the strap developed for the Heritage Chrono model in 2010.
